As the Christmas break approaches I would like to thank staff and your children for their tremendous hard work and commitment this term and to thank you for your continuing support. It has indeed been a busy time and there has been much celebration through some very special performances that have thrilled us all. Christmas is without doubt the most magical time of the year.
My thanks also goes out to FOTS for their unquestionable dedication to the school and drive; more recently the Christmas Bazaar gave Trinity children an opportunity to have their very own Christmas shopping spree. Our hall was transformed and the atmosphere was amazing; Year 6 children supporting the youngest members of Trinity in such a very caring and supportive manner, the many happy faces mingling in the crowds, the unwavering concentration as your children carefully checked what they could afford, shopping bags full to the brim with goodies and gifts, money rattling in purses blending in with the Christmas music and chatter and children choosing so unselfishly for the benefit of their families and friends. It is always a ‘WOW’ and becomes a special memory to cherish.
And so ……… with Christmas lunches, Christmas jumpers and abundant smiles, we approach the end of another term. I do hope you will be able to join us for the traditional Christmas Service at Holy Trinity Church on Friday at 10.30am. Children will then return to school afterwards; the end of the school day being 1.15pm.
Whatever your understanding of Christmas, it is a wonderful time for families and communities to meet and enjoy their time together. On behalf of all of us here at Trinity may I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing your children once more on Tuesday 8 January 2019.
