To Excel, To Value, To Enjoy………….TOGETHER
Firstly let me share that I feel very privileged to be the Headteacher
of such a wonderful school, full of happy, well-behaved children who
are a pleasure to teach. We have extremely dedicated and supportive staff
who work very hard to provide the best opportunities for all our children in a safe and happy school environment.
Choosing the right primary school for your child can be one of the hardest decisions you have to make. Of course many schools aspire to achieve at the highest level and we are no different. So what is it that sets us apart?
We are, without doubt, a consistently high-achieving school academically. We are extremely proud that our children achieve well above national averages at every measure (reading, writing and mathematics) and academic attainment will always be a big focus for the school. However, our belief and success are founded on a far wider variety of aims for the children at Trinity.
We strive to do the best we can for our children in the way that is best for them. We have a concerted emphasis on developing thinking skills, teaching children how to live harmoniously and most of all enjoying their learning and having fun. Consequently children are more confident, resourceful and ready to learn; taking responsibility for their future lives and the many important decisions they will make.
Relationships and attitudes are very positive and an
ethos exists in which learning together becomes
an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all. Christian
values underpin all that we do at Trinity CE
Primary School. We believe that the understanding
and application of Christian values strengthens the
school community’s spiritual development and this is
reflected through daily deeds and actions. Our core
Christian values are: Courage, Care and Respect. As
a school we have chosen these to enhance the curriculum
and daily school life. Each term we focus on a
different Christian value, explicitly through our
collective worship time, but also through our
curriculum as well. Children have the opportunity
to reflect on each value and to develop an
understanding of that value in action and how
We place a huge emphasis on children’s views and opinions and believe in empowering children to make decisions about their school and learning. We are also proud to be a Church School reflecting Christian values in the way we interact and build partnerships with each other and within our community; children also learn about other faiths and religions. Mutual respect forms the basis for all our learning and the partnerships we have with parents/carers and the community enables us to achieve the high standards which are hallmarks of Trinity school.
As a school we are constantly seeking ways to improve and grow. We value and appreciate the support we receive, enabling us to offer the children activities which extend and enrich their learning during and beyond the normal timetabled day. By working co-operatively with other primary and secondary schools in the local area, we are able to offer a wide range of enriching activities and expert coaching and tuition in various fields. We have an enviable variety of clubs including drama, dance, gardening, IT, choir, music and a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities including football, hockey, running, gymnastics, netball and cricket. An extensive programme of instrumental lessons is also on offer to pupils and additional provision is made for those with particular interest and ability in music.
Our staff, coupled with supportive parents and governors, contributes greatly to the success of our school. We all work together with a common purpose – to ensure that our children are happy and successful in their primary years. Please come and see us and find out for yourself. We are always delighted to welcome visitors, and would be glad to give you a tour of the school and answer any further questions you may have.
