Informing us of absence

If your child is too unwell to attend school, please let the school office and their teacher know by 8:50am, when the registers are taken.  This allows us to know quickly who is and isn't in the building, in case we need to evacuate for any reason.

Smart watches

Please can we remind parents and carers that as per our 'Mobile Phone Policy', smart watches are viewed the same as mobile phones and must be named and handed in to the school office in the morning, if children choose to wear one to school.

Teachers have noticed certain children being more distracted in class and this is disrupting their and other pupil's learning.

Please can we ask for your help with this, by either leaving these devices at home, or reminding your child to hand it in to the office.

Poetry Day

On Wednesday 28th January, we will be celebrating poetry in school with a special visit from poet James Carter. The day will be packed with workshops and assemblies and every child from Early Years through to Year 6 will be taking part.

If you would like to explore some of James Carter’s work with your child ahead of the visit, please take a look at his website: https://www.jamescarterpoet.co.uk/

After school, there will be an opportunity to purchase one of James Carter’s books, which he will be happy to sign. The books available will be Weird, Wild & Wonderful (KS2) and A Ticket to Kalamazoo (KS1/EYFS). Weather permitting, books will be sold on the playground. Each book costs £9 and payment will be cash only.

Please follow the NHS link below for information.

You will need to repeat the process until all lice and eggs have gone.
