TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week commencing 2nd November 2026

Whole School Updates

School Photos

Tempest will be in school on Thursday 5th November taking individual and sibling photos. If your child is due to have PE on this day, please send them to school in normal uniform and trainers. If your child is due to have Forest school please send Forest School clothes to school in a separate bag and children will change after lunch.

Remembrance Day Service - 11th November

Parents and carers are invited to join us at Trinity Church on Wednesday 11th November at 10:45am for our Remembrance Day service. If the weather is dry the service will take place outside in the churchyard.

Cross Country

Pupils in Years 1 - 6 are invited to take part in weekend cross country races at Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge, Sonning Common. The next two dates in the Winter Series are Saturday 7th November and Saturday 5th December. The first race starts with Year 1 at 1:00pm and the last race for Year 6 will be at 2:15pm. For pupils in Years 3 - 6 there is also a team event (3 runners in the age group needed). No pre-race registration is required, just turn up and RUN. Please donate £1 per runner to cover the cost of medals and the sports coordinator role - please drop your coin in the donation box.

School lunches - new menu

From November, we will be moving to a new menu. This new menu has been uploaded and is available to book via Schoolgateway app. A copy of our new menu will appear on our website at the start of half-term: SCHOOL MEALS.

Lego after-school club - Spring term update

Due to the huge popularity of Lego Club (and their very long waiting list) we are delighted to say that from January we will be offering Lego Club as an after-school club on two days - Wednesdays and Thursdays. If your child is currently on the waiting list you will be offered first refusal. Further details to follow next term.

100 Things

Every pupil should now have a '100 Things to do before you leave Trinity' book, along with a list of age-appropriate activities. Half-term could be a great opportunity to do some of these activities, ahead of bringing books back into school on Friday 27th November to show classmates and teachers.

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)

Forest School - Term 2

Reminder that after half term, Year 3 and 4 will be doing Forest School. For details about what is involved, please visit our FOREST SCHOOL page. Ideally, clothes should be dark-coloured, unbranded and long-sleeved (with waterproofs if wet).  Secondhand PE kit from the FOTS uniform sale is ideal. Please can we request that children don't use this as an opportunity to show off their most fashionable clothes.

For these sessions to take place, we require one parent to cover the two hour session, or two parents to each cover an hour. Please contact your class rep to volunteer.

  • Monday (1:00pm - 3:00pm) - Cowell class
  • Tuesday (1:00pm - 3:00pm) - Pilkey class
  • Thursday (1:00pm - 3:00pm) - Coelho

Please note: this starts from the first week back, so the first session will be Cowell class on Monday 2nd November. Also Coelho class will need to bring Forest School clothes in a separate bag due to school photos on Thursday 5th November.

New topic - Vikings

Our new topic in LKS2 is Vikings. If children have any books or items associated then they are welcome to bring them into school the first week back.

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

Applying for Secondary School place

Reminder for parents with children currently in Year 6 that the deadline for applying for a state secondary school place for Year 7 is Saturday 31st October. More details can be found here:

www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/schools/apply-school-place/year-7-applications

Please can we also draw your attention to the flyer at the bottom of this Bulletin regarding Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge Secondary School.  If your child would thrive in a rural location and a smaller school community, then it might be worth looking into the investment they are making from Spring 2027.
