TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week commencing 13th July 2026

Whole School Updates

Attendance

This academic year we have seen an increase in term-time absences, with some families underestimating the importance of consistent attendance. Research continues to show the strong link between good attendance, academic achievement and children's wellbeing. In addition, unnecessary absences can disrupt learning not only for the child who is away, but also for their classmates and teachers.

We kindly ask that you plan any family holidays during the school holidays. Our term dates are displayed at the bottom of this Bulletin and are also available on our website: TERM DATES

After-school Clubs and Music Lessons for Autumn 2026

After-school clubs and music lessons will start week commencing Monday 7th September. Details will be emailed out during the last week of term, so please keep an eye out. Details will also be available on our website: CLUBS.

New wraparound care provider

From September 2026, we are welcoming a new wraparound care provider - In2Care. You will need to register for an account to be able to make a booking.

Do you have any books belonging to school?

Ahead of our yearly book audit, if you have any books at home that belong to school please return them in this final week.

Plant Sale

If you took a plant and forgot to pay, please drop money into the office. The money will buy compost for next year's plants.

Henley Youth Festival Logo Competition

The Henley Youth Festival is inviting young people to design their 2027 logo around the theme of Myths & Legends. You can see the full details of how to enter here: HYF Logo Competition.  The deadline for entries is 31 July 2026.

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

Murphy Pizza Express Trip

Thank you to the parent volunteers who have offered to support with the trip on Tuesday. Please arrive at the school office at 8:50am, where you will be asked to read and sign the risk assessment and collect a high vis vest. We plan to leave school at 9:00am and expect to return by approximately 11:30am.

Reading Journey Books Return Requests

On Tuesday, we will be collecting all Reading Journey books. We will be carrying out an end-of-term audit to ensure all books have been returned and are ready for the next academic year. Please take a few moments to check at home for any Reading Journey books and return them to school by Tuesday 14th July.

Named bag

Please can all KS1 children bring in a named carrier bag on Thursday 16th July to take home their work and books from the academic year.

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

Gold Mayor of Henley Walk - Monday

The walk will now depart at 8:30am, so please can pupils arrive at school by 8:15am on Monday. We will do a shorter walk than planned to be back at school before the hottest part of the day.

Year 5 Consents for next academic year

Following on from our email on 06/07/26, if you are yet to complete the consent forms related to your child moving into Year 6, please do so before the end of this term:

Mobile Phone Consent Form

Walking Unaccompanied Consent Form

These are both required whether you are planning to send your child to school with a phone or not, and whether you plan to let them walk home unaccompanied by an adult or not.

Year 6 Leavers Assembly

The Year 6 Leavers Assembly will start at 1:45pm on Thursday, but we would be grateful if parents / carers could arrive no earlier than 1:30pm to sign in at Reception. Due to limited space, unfortunately we are having to restrict it to two adults per child. Siblings are welcome to sit on your knee - please tell the office by Tuesday if you would like a sibling to join, including their class.

Year 6 Medicine

If your child is leaving Trinity at the end of this year and they have medicine / inhaler / epi pen in the school office, please remember to come and collect it on the last day of term.
