TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week commencing 13th October 2025

Whole School Updates

School Fund

Despite our school being full (we receive funding per pupil), like most state-funded primary schools, Trinity has had to find ways to supplement its government funding. Despite our best efforts to manage budget cuts, additional support is now essential to maintain the high standard of education we are committed to delivering. To help us continue this, we are asking parents and carers to consider making a regular monthly donation to the Trinity Primary School Education Fund.

We believe in transparency, so every time the School Fund is used, contributors will be informed about how much was spent and what it was used for. For more details please visit www.trinityprimaryschool.org/fund and if you are able to make a donation please click on the DONATE link.

Nut and egg free

We are a nut free and egg free school, due to having a number of children with severe allergies. Please respect this by not sending items containing nuts or eggs to school in packed lunches or snacks. This includes things like pesto, Nutella and egg mayonnaise sandwiches.

Flu consent

Reminder to complete your child's flu consent by Monday 13th October, if not already done.  CLICK HERE for more information, or refer to email sent 26/09/25.

Parent consultations - 21 & 22 October

Appointments can be made from 8.00pm on Monday 13 October when the booking system will open. For further details please refer to email sent 09/10/25.

Pornography warning on 'Spy' books

Important safeguarding notice: Books by Andy Cope, such as Spy Dogs, Spy Cats, Spy Pups etc, may contain a printed web address at the back of the books, linking to additional content, but the link is no longer owned by the author and instead links to pornographic content. The books are fine to read, but the publisher wants parents to be aware of this hack and to avoid children being exposed to inappropriate content, until this can be resolved.

Workshop - Thursday 20th November

We have been asked to share details of a workshop, taking place on Thursday 20th November, aimed at supporting parents by giving you effective strategies to support your child's learning at home. Please see flyer at the bottom of this email for more details.

Half term camp

Elite Youth Sports are offering a half term camp at Sacred Heart School. Camps run from 9:00am - 3:30pm and they are offering a free taster day on Monday to new customers. More details can be found at the bottom of this flyer.

Reading Journey

If your child is feeling inspired to read after their trip to the Literary Festival, please remind them to bring a Reading Journey book home to read with you. Thanks to parents' generosity in buying from our wishlists, we now have more books available to loan. More details can be found at www.trinityprimaryschool.org/books

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

New topic

We will be starting a new topic called 'Never Eat Shredded Wheat' where the children will be learning about compass points. If your child has a compass at home which they would like to share with the class, please can they be sent into school week beginning Monday 13th October.

Doodle Maths

Please continue to encourage your child to use Doodle Maths regularly. Just 10 minutes a day has been proven to have a significant impact on a child’s maths attainment. Well done Murphy class for winning the Doodle Maths trophy this week!

Reading Journey

It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged with the Trinity Reading Journey. Well done to those children who have already met the first reward of reading 10 books.

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)

Mayor of Henley

The presentation has been emailed to Year 4 parents and carers, for anyone who missed the briefing meeting. If your child is interested in taking part, please complete a form (available in the office or on the email) and return it to chart@trinityprimaryschool.org by Monday 4th November.

Forest School

Years 3 and 4 are starting Forest School after half term:

  • Monday - Coelho (Year 3/4)
  • Tuesday - Cowell (Year 3)
  • Thursday - Pilkey (Year 4)

Please CLICK HERE for more information about what is involved, what to wear etc. We also need parents to volunteer to come in and support these sessions, between 1:00 - 3:00pm. Once organised, please email your class teacher.
