Clubs for Spring Term 2026

It's time to sign up for after-school clubs for the Spring term. Please visit our website for details of the clubs being offered, along with how to book:

www.trinityprimaryschool.org/clubs

Please contact the club provider(s) directly to secure a place and please remember to check the start date, as clubs don't always follow Trinity term dates exactly. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Please see flyers at the bottom of this Bulletin, for a sneak peak of a few clubs available next term.

Illness - when to keep your child at home

Please do not send your child to school if they have flu-like symptoms, such as a high temperature. If your child has a cough or cold, without a high temperature, then it's ok to send them in. For sickness and diarrhoea, please keep your child at home for 48 hours to prevent it spreading to other pupils and teachers.

Christmas lunches

Reminder that our Christmas lunches take place next week:

  • Years 3-6 (KS2): Wednesday 17th December (packed lunch for EY, Yr1&2)
  • Reception, Years 1 & 2 (EY & KS1): Thursday 18th December (packed lunch for Yr3-6)
  • Please remember to send in a packed lunch if you have not booked a school provided packed lunch, on the relevant day.
  • Children are welcome to wear a Christmas-themed accessory, such as a Santa hat or reindeer hairband, along with normal school uniform for their Christmas lunch.

Reading

We finished this term with lots of bronze and silver awards being achieved in our Trinity Reading Journey - well done to everyone who is taking part! As highlighted in the recent parent survey, there has been a national decline in daily reading among young people. Over the Christmas break, please continue to read with your children regularly. We know it is a busy time for all, so listening to audiobooks and podcasts can be a great alternative.

Thank you again to everyone who has donated books to us via our LoveReading4Kids wishlists. We have received 41 books so far, along with some very generous monetary donations for the purchase of new texts. If you are able to gift the school a copy of one of our Reading Journey books, please take a look at the wishlist links. We truly appreciate all of your kindness and support- thank you.

House points - Gainsborough win!

Congratulations to pupils in Gainsborough House for being the winners of our House Points competition this term. Any pupils in Gainsborough House can come to school in home clothes on Friday 9th January (our first Friday of the new term). If you are unsure of which 'House' your child is in, please email their class teacher (emails can be found on our FAQ's page).

Last day logistics - Friday 19th December

Our end of term church service takes place at 10:30am at Trinity Church and all parents and carers are invited to join us. School finishes at 1:15pm, after lunch.

No PE on Wednesday 17th December

Due to other activities taking place, there is no PE on Wednesday, so if your child normally has PE (Murphy, Rosen, Dahl, Cowell and Pilkey), please send them to school in normal uniform on Wednesday.

Early Years (Reception)

Nativity

The whole school will come to watch our dress rehearsal on Tuesday morning and then we look forward to welcoming parents and carers to Trinity Church in the afternoon for our main performance, commencing at 1:30pm. Please note the church doors will not open until 1:15pm to allow us to get the children to the church and in position. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please make your child aware that at the end of the nativity they will return to school to get changed and pick up will be at the normal time of 3:15pm, to avoid anyone being distressed that you are not taking them home directly from the church.
