Class Updates

Cycle to Paris - French themed breakfast

Reminder that FOTS will be selling croissants and crêpes from 8:30am on Friday 12th June. Please support FOTS and our parent cyclists by purchasing items. Please note, items will not necessarily be nut free or egg free, so it is at parents' discretion whether to purchase items or not.

House Points Winners

Congratulations to pupils in Springfield House for winning the most number of house points in Term 5.  Pupils in Springfield are welcome to come into school in home closes (non-uniform) on Friday 12th June in recognition of their great effort.

Crazy Hair Winners

We were so impressed by the effort everyone went to for Crazy Hair Day. It was very hard to agree on a winning class, but Rosen class just clinched it. Rosen class win 15 minutes of extra play time.

Tempest Class Photos

Reminder to order your child's class photo within 7 days to benefit from free delivery to school. Please refer to email sent 04/06/26 for details.

Water safety

Spending time near water can be fun, especially in warm weather, but open water can be dangerous even if your child is a strong swimmer. Rivers, lakes, canals, quarries and reservoirs can be much colder than they look, with hidden hazards and strong currents. Please share these guidelines from OCC with your child(ren) so that they can keep themselves safe around water.

  • Do not jump, dive or swim in open water unless it is a supervised, designated place.
  • Never go near water alone - stay with friends and make sure someone knows where you are.
  • Be aware that cold water shock can affect anyone, even strong swimmers, and can make it hard to breathe or move.
  • Rivers, canals and lakes may have hidden dangers under the surface such as rocks, rubbish, weeds, fishing line or sudden drops.
  • Do not take risks to impress others, including dares, bridge jumps or entering the water for social media content.
  • If you fall, try to stay calm, float on your back, keep your airway clear and control your breathing.
  • If you see someone in trouble, call 999 or 112, shout for help, and throw something that floats. Do not go in after them.
  • If possible, choose supervised swimming venues or pools instead of unsupervised open water.

Please also see flyers at the bottom of this Bulletin for details of an event being run by Henley Firefighters about water safety on Saturday 13th June and Drowning Prevention Week.
