TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week commencing 6th July 2026

Whole School Updates

World Cup Football

With England's next World Cup match kicking off at 1:00am, we understand that some families may choose to allow their children to stay up to watch the game. If you do decide to do so, we kindly ask that you remember school attendance remains important, even if children are feeling tired the following day.

To help everyone share in the excitement, we will be showing match highlights in the hall during Monday morning break. FOTS have also kindly donated popcorn for the occasion. Watching the highlights is entirely optional. Children can choose whether they would like to watch them in the hall or spend their break outside as usual. If you would prefer your child not to have popcorn, please email office.3254@trinity.oxon.sch.uk by Sunday evening.

Class Updates on the school website

Moving into next academic year, Class Updates will be replaced by 'Latest News' and the termly newsletters. Highlights will also appear on our school Instagram page @trinityprimaryschoolhenley.

FOTS Camp Out

On Saturday 27th June there was the Trinity School camp out on the school field.  Thankfully, the weather was a bit cooler, the rain stayed away and the children were able to make some great memories. Thank you to everyone who helped support the event and those who donated items and their time.  We are happy to report the event made a profit of £1,750.

Trinity Church Development

As a school, we benefit hugely from our partnership with Trinity Church; from members of the clergy team coming in each week to lead assemblies, to being able to use their premises for our big school occasions. Trinity Church are embarking on an ambitious plan to raise money to overhaul the Church and they have asked that we share this plan with Trinity families, in the hope that some of you may be in a position to support this exciting project that will benefit their congregation, our school and the wider Henley community.

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

Year 5 & 6 ''Trashion'' Shoot

As part of our current topic on Pollution and Global Warming, we are excited to be planning a creative ‘Trashion Shoot’ with the children. For this project, the children will be upcycling a variety of materials to design and create their own “clothing” or “accessories”, helping them to think about sustainability and reusing everyday items in a fun and imaginative way.

To support this, we would be very grateful for any of the following clean, unwanted materials:

  • Old clothes
  • Clean plastic pots (e.g. yoghurt pots)
  • Newspapers
  • Plastic bags
  • Magazines
  • Paper packaging

Please note that we do not require cardboard, as we already have plenty in school! If you are able to contribute, please send items in with your child by Wednesday 8th July. Thank you very much for your continued support.

Year 6 Swimming

On Wednesday 8th July, please can all pupils bring a pair of lightweight pyjamas or tshirt and shorts, along with their normal swimming costume / shorts. These items will get wet as pupils will experience being in water with clothes on as part of their drowning prevention training.

Please can we request that you do NOT send your child to swimming with money for the vending machine. It is causing issues for staff and other pupils, so we would be very grateful if you could explain to your child that they will not be permitted to use the vending machine any more. If your child needs a snack after swimming, please send it with them from home. Thank you.

Year 6 Play logistics

Please refer to the email sent 02/07/26. Pupils will not be permitted to walk home unaccompanied after the evening performance, so please either collect your child after the performance or advise your child's teacher by Monday if another adult will collect on your behalf.

National delay of Year 6 SATS results

As per our email of 03/07/26, due to the nationwide delay in receiving SATS results, they will be sent to parents asap after 16th July.
