Welcome
Welcome to new parents. In an effort to keep communications to a minimum, we send out a Bulletin every Friday, which looks at the week(s) ahead. Please take time to read the Bulletin each week so that your child is prepared for their week. There's a lot of new information coming your way, so please feel free to contact the school office (in person, by phone 01491 575 887 or email office.3254@trinity.oxon.sch.uk) at any time - we are here to help you.
Nut and egg free
As a school we are both nut free and egg free. We have several children with severe allergies. For these children, exposure to even tiny traces can trigger anaphylaxis, so we would ask all parents to respect this by not sending their children to school with items that contain nuts or eggs. It is especially important for packed lunches that they avoid things like Nutella, peanut butter, egg sandwiches, pesto and mayonnaise.
Class reps
Class reps act as a link between school and parents. We ask for their help in co-ordinating parent volunteers and passing on occasional messages. If your class is currently without a rep please consider volunteering.
Missed lunch bookings
From September, if you do not manage to book your child's lunch in advance (prior to 8:00am), the kitchen will only be able to supply a grated cheese sandwich. Parents / carers always have the option to bring in a packed lunch, but we are unable to offer a choice of the full menu each day as the kitchen does not have sufficient surplus food to accommodate the volume of last-minute requests.
Trinity Reading Journey
This year, we have decided not to run our Trinity Reading Journey (previously known as the Trinity Reading Challenge). Instead, we are putting a strong focus on encouraging a love and enjoyment of reading for all our children, not just those who take part in the challenge.
Each year group will still have a list of recommended books for children to explore and enjoy throughout the year. The books from the previous Trinity Reading Journey have also been added to our class libraries, so they remain available for all children to discover and enjoy.
Reading will be a key focus for us throughout this academic year, and we are excited to share more about our plans and initiatives in future bulletins.
Meet your child's teacher - Friday 11th September
As per Mrs Whittle's welcome back letter (sent 04/09/26), parents and carers are invited into school on Friday 11th September from 2:50pm to meet your child's teacher and see their classroom. This is optional, so please don't worry if you can't make it.
FOTS AGM - Tuesday 15th September
Our wonderful PTA are holding their AGM at school from 7:00pm on Tuesday 15th September. Please come along to hear about the events that are planned for this year. The fundraising that FOTS does each year and the events that they put on for the children make a really positive impact on our school and this is only possible if parents keep engaging with FOTS.
After-school clubs and wraparound care
It's not too late to book your child into an after-school club for the Autumn term. Most clubs start week commencing 7th September. For more details please visit our CLUBS page.
