Our Promise
At Trinity CE Primary School, we want every child to succeed and reach their full potential. We believe that with the right support, encouragement and opportunities, all children can thrive—regardless of their background.
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is extra funding given to schools to support children who may need additional help with their learning and wellbeing.
It helps us to:
- Support children to achieve their best
- Close any gaps in learning
- Provide extra opportunities and experiences
How does it help your child?
If your child is eligible, they may receive:
- Free school meals (beyond Year 2)
- Help with trips, visits, uniform or equipment
- Extra academic support
- Access to clubs, music and sports
- Wellbeing and pastoral support
This funding helps children feel confident, included and ready to learn.
Who can apply?
Your child may be eligible if you receive certain benefits, such as:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Universal Credit (within income threshold)
- Child Tax Credit (without Working Tax Credit and within income limits)
- Pension Credit (Guarantee element)
Children may also qualify if they:
- Have been eligible in the last 6 years
- Are or have been in care
- Have a parent in the armed forces

Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive free meals.
If you qualify for Pupil Premium, your child can continue to receive free meals from Year 3 onwards, plus additional support in school.
Why apply?
Even if your child does not take free school meals, registering means:
- Your child can receive extra support and opportunities
- The school receives additional funding to support all pupils

How to apply
Applying is quick, easy and completely confidential. Please contact the school office, in person, by phone 01491 575 887 or by email office.3254@trinity.oxon.sch.uk. There is a form at the bottom of this page which you can complete and return to school if easier. The office team will check your eligibility and advise you of the next steps.
You will need to provide the following information:
- Name
- Date of birth
- National Insurance number
How much funding does the school receive?

For 2025-2026, schools can claim:

£1515 per child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding

£350 per child who is entitled to Service Pupil Premium.

For 2026-2027, schools can claim:

£1550 per child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding

£360 per child who is entitled to Service Pupil Premium.

How we use the funding
We carefully use Pupil Premium funding to:
- Provide high-quality teaching and targeted support
- Improve attendance, confidence and wellbeing
- Offer enriching experiences and opportunities
- Help every child make strong progress
All staff are committed to supporting every child, removing barriers to learning and helping them succeed.
Need extra help?
If you do not qualify for Pupil Premium but need support with costs such as uniform or trips, grants may be available through the Henley Education Trust.
